HMD Global, the Finnish company which owns the license to use Nokia’s brand name on phones and tablets is reportedly planning to launch four new devices at the Mobile World Congress held in the Mobile World Capital Barcelona from 27 February to 2 March 2017. As per reports from the sources the Finnish handset manufacturer is likely to launch two Android 7.0 Nougat devices – the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 alongwith global version of the Nokia 6 and revamp version of the iconic Nokia 3310 which was released way back in early 2000.
The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 4GB of RAM along with Adreno 505 GPU. On the storage front it comes with 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. There is a fingerprint scanner embedded in its home button as well. it also features a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. At the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera with a 1.12um sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The Nokia 6 runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the box and is powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery. it is expected to come in the indian market by April, 2017 and is expected to priced at €249 (roughly Rs 17,689)
The Nokia 5 is likely to feature a 5.2-inch (720p) HD display, 2GB RAM, and a 12-megapixel rear-facing shooter and is expected to be priced at € 199 (roughly Rs 14,137). unfortunately, currently there are no reports about specifications of the entrly level Nokia 3 which will reportedly cost €149 (roughly Rs 10,585).
The most interesting news is that the revamp version of the iconic Nokia 3310 is also coming, it will not be a smartphone, but a modern version of a classic feature phone as per reported by the Indian Express it is expected to come with longer battery life and basic functionality and will cost around € 59 (roughly Rs Rs 4192).
There’s also concept video of the revamp version of Nokia 3310 making the round which is created by a YouTube user named as Concept Creator features the handset with 1.5-inch screen, primary camera on the back, built-in FM radio, 8GB internal storage and Micro USB port along-with 1650mAh battery.
