HTC Corporation, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer and consumer electronics company based in Xindian District of New Taipei City on Thursday extended its portfolio of “U-series” with the launch of HTC U11+ and HTC U11 Life smartphone. both, the device comes with support for company’s in-house “squeezable edge” technology.
HTC U11 life’s design is a continuation of our liquid surface design philosophy. Inspired by the beauty and grace of glass, HTC U11 life incorporates an acrylic glass back surface that’s pleasing to the eye. The phone is crafted to impress using Optical Spectrum Hybrid Deposition. By layering highly-refractive precious minerals across the phone’s back cover, we’ve created stunningly vivid colors that transform light with every movement you make.
The mid-ranger HTC U11 Life is the toned down version of the company’s flagship device HTC U11 and bring on cards the same liquid surface design with acrylic glass feature. the device is available in two variants one with the Android One model which will run on stock Android 8.0 Oreo update which will be available for rest of the world. while, the other with HTC Sense UI based on Android 7.1 Nougat (Android 8.0 Ore expected to available within a month) and comes pre-installed with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant which will be available in North America.

The HTC U11 Life bears a 5.2 inch, Full HD 1080p (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super LCD with corning gorilla glass protection and is powered by Snapdragon 630 processor. it is available in two options – one with a 3GB RAM and 32GB on-board storage. while, the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB on-board storage. both, the variants supports storage expansion up-to 2TB via MicroSD card.
On the optics front, the HTC U11 Life sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with F/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofcous, BSI sensor, HDR Boost, Panorama, and Hyperlapse. it also supports Slow motion video and 4k video recording. on the front, there’s an 16-megapixel selfie shooter with F/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor, Live make-up, Auto selfie, Voice selfie and timer, HDR boost, and Seflie Panorama.
The HTC U11 Life is backed by 2,600 mAh battery with Quickcharge 3.0 support and comes with HTC USonic with Active Noise cancellation earphones. the device comes with IP67 rating for dust, splash and water resistance up-to 1 meter. it also sports an fingerprint sensor embedded on Home button.
On the connectivity front, the option includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Chromecast, DLNA, AirPlay, Miracast, USB Type-C port and 3.5 mm audio jack. it also on-boards sensors including Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Motion G-sensor, Compass, Gyro sensor, Magnetic sensor, Sensor Hub and Edge sensor. the device measures 149 x 72.9 x 8.1 mm and weights 142 grams.
The HTC U11 Life is currently available in the United States exclusively via T-Mobile starting from November 2 and is priced at $349 (Approx. ₹ 22,500) – the company is marketing the device as “Created by HTC. Powered by Google.” in the United States. the company however has not revealed any plans to launch the device in other regions.
