Lenovo started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat software update for its budget offering Lenovo K6 Power and K6 Note. both, the smartphone were announced last year in December with Vibe UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow update out of the box.
Here are the highlight features of the latest update :
♣ Enhanced Multitasking with Multi-window Support: The feature allows to run two apps simultaneously on the screen. All you have to do is Tap on the recent apps button and Move the apps to the top of the screen.
♣ Data Saver: Data saver allows you to limit background data usage when you are not on a Wi-Fi network. You can even restrict data usage on individual apps.
♣ Smarter & Bundled Notifications: The latest update enables cleaner looking notifications and the ability to reply from the notification bar itself without opening any app.
♣ Quick App Switching: You can now double tap the recent apps button on the K6 Power and K6 Note to automatically switch to the last app you were using. No more manually selecting from a list of running apps.
♣ Better Battery life with Doze on the go: The Nougat update adds an updated Doze mode whenever the phone isn’t in active use, and reduces data sync and periodically run tasks.
♣ Display Size: You can now change the size of the font or the display itself.
The Lenovo K6 Note feature a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080 p) IPS display and is powered by Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz paired with 3GB of RAM. the smartphone is packed with 32GB of internal storage and is further expandable upto 128 GB via MicroSD card support. On the optics front, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front facing selfie camera for the selfie addicts. the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and connectivity options include 4G LTE, 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM card, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
The Lenovo K6 Power smartphone feature a 5.0-inch Full HD (1080 p) IPS display and is powered by Qualcomm’s a octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. the smartphone is packed with 32GB of internal storage and is further expandable upto 128 GB via MicroSD card support. On the optics front, the smartphone is sports a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor rear camera and 8-megapixel Sony IMX219 front facing selfie shooter. The K6 Power also comes with Dolby ATMOS support and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based on Vibe UI out of the box. on the connectivity front, the options include 4G VoLTE, Fingerprint sensor, Dual NanoSIM card, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG and GPS. The smartphone is available in dark grey, gold, and silver color options.
The update available for Lenovo K6 Note is k53_S123_170216_ROW_TO_K53_S218_170605_ROW and is sized at 1776MB , while the K6 power grabs K33_S156_170220_ROW_TO_K33_S223_170610_ROW sized at 1567MB, followed up by a firmware update for bug fixes and improve device stability K33_S222_170523_ROW_TO_K33_S223_170610_ROW sized at 77MB.
