Chinese Smartphone Manufacturer, Lenovo announced its latest smartphone in its portfolio of ‘K’ series with the Lenovo K8 Note at a launch event held in New Delhi, the Lenovo K8 Note is the company’s first smartphone with dual camera setup.
Coming to the specifications, the Lenovo K8 Note bears a 5.5-inch Full-HD ( 1920 x 1080 p) Display with 2.5D curved glass, 450 nits brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass protection and Anti fingerprint coating support. it is powered by a 64-Bit deca-core MediaTek Helio-X20 (MT6797) processor clocked at 2.3GHz along with Mali – T880 GPU.
The Helio-X20 is world’s first mobile processor with Tri-Cluster CPU architecture and ten processing cores. it introduces dual main cameras and features a built-in 3D depth engine as well as multi-scale de-noise engines, for faster response time between shots and unprecedented detail, color, and sharpness, even under extreme conditions.
Display is refreshed at an accelerated 120 frames per second for crisp and responsive scrolling of web content and maps, and uncompromised motion viewing supporting mobile games with high-resolution graphics.
A sensor hub on the embedded ARM Cortex-M4 processor operates on an isolated, low-power domain to support diverse always-on applications, such as MP3 playback and voice activation.
The device is available in two variants with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option, both the variant supports storage expansion up-to 128GB via MicroSD card. it is backed by a 4000 mAh battery and supports TurboCharge. the company claims that the device will easily last up-to one entire day. it is also packed with fingerprint sensor at the back.
On the optics front, The Lenovo K8 Note sports dual rear cameras vertically mounted at the back with a combination of 13MP (OV13855) primary sensor + 5MP (S5K5E2) secondary sensor which capture pictures with depth of field effects like Bokeh and a Dual CCT LED flash.
on the front, there’s an 13MP front facing selfie camera with an aperture of F/2.2 with front facing flash. both, the rear and front camera are supports Pro mode which allows to adjust, fine tune the ISO, shutter speed, White Balance etc.
Another notable feature of the Lenovo K8 Note is that it runs on the purest form of Android with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. the company decided to ditch VIBE UI, its customized version of Android after extensive market research. it is also packed with dedicated Music Key on the right which can be helpful to control Music Playback seamlessly. it also include Dolby Atmos and TheatreMax support.

On the connectivity front, the option includes Dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a,b/g/n/ac, 2.4GHz & 5GHz, Wi-Fi Hotspot , Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and MicroUSB. it also on-boards sensors including Accelerometer, Proximity, Light, Compass and Gyroscope. the device is available in Venom Black and Fine Gold colour options and measures at 154.5 x 75.9 x 8.5 mm & weights at 180 grams.

The Lenovo K8 Note is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB RAM / 32GB storage variant and Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage variant. it will available exclusively via Amazon India and will go on sale starting from August 18 at 12PM. it is bundled with some interesting offers which includes a discount of Rs. 900 on the Moto Sports Headphones, 64GB 4G Data and unlimited calls for 56 Days at Rs. 343 from Idea and up-to 80 percent discount on Kindle e-books.
