Micromax, the Indian smartphone and electronics manufacturing company based in Gurugram, India recently added a device in its portfolio of “Canvas series” dubbed as Selfie 2. the highlight feature of the device is that it runs on the latest version of Android Nougat out-of-the box with the company also offering a 100-day replacement warranty on issues related to hardware.
Coming to the specification, the Selfie 2 sports a metallic body and bears a 5.2-inch HD Display which offers great colour depth and stunning visual clarity. the device is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 Quad-core Processor clocked at 1.3GHz and is paired with 3GB DDR3 RAM. the device is packed with 32GB of internal storage and runs on Android Nougat as mentioned above with features like Multi Window Support, Reply in the Notification Panel, Enhanced Doze Mode, New quick settings option and Bundled Notifications. it is further backed by a 3000mAh battery.
On the optics front, the Selfie 2 is a selfie-centric device and sports a 8MP Front facing Camera with OV 8856
Sensor, F/2.0 aperture, Field-of-View 84-degree (wide-angle Lens), 5-P lens and HDR. it also offers Real Time Bokeh Effect, One Touch Shot and Face Beauty Mode (an algorithm to enhance face beauty).
On the rear, it sports a 13MP Rear Camera with Sony
IM135 sensor, Blur Glass IR Filter, 5-P Lens and F/2.0 aperture and also supports Auto Scene Detection, Panorama and Super Pixel Mode.
The Selfie 2 is also packed with Finger Print sensor on the back. the device is currently listed on the company’s website and the pricing of the device isn’t revealed yet. but, whenever that happens we will let you know.
