Microsoft was working on Interactive live tiles for quite sometime and if everything goes as per their plans, we will finally try our hands-on Interactive Live Tiles, which is probably the most asked featured by winphans around the world. It is expected to come with Redstone, the next major update for windows10.
Next week, in Sans Francisco Microsoft is going to hold their annual build developer conference and In a keynote titled “What’s New for Tiles and Toast Notifications” they stated :
“Notifications are an essential tool for engaging with your customers on Windows. We are building on the foundation of Action Center to give developers greatly increased flexibility in Adaptive Toasts. We will introduce a powerful API that enables a new class of apps to plug into the Notification pipeline and provide innovative experiences for users. Live Tiles are evolving with two highly-requested surprises that you won’t want to miss.”
Microsoft teased that they’re evolving Live Tiles with two highly requested surprises. It will definitely add more spark to their event.
If you’re wondering What’s Interactive Live Tiles and what’s the big deal?
Windows10 users have Live Tiles that flips to reveal information such as alerts or news feeds without opening the app, to take it further the Microsoft Research demonstrated so-called Interactive Live Tiles, which makes the live tiles themselves as mini app. For example take a look at the pic posted below
Imagine you’re changing the songs, play and pause it without opening the full app.
