Lenovo owned Motorola officially announced two new devices in their portfolio of the Moto G line with the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus. both, the devices are successor to the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus which were launched earlier this year in India with several upgrades. the “S” in both the device names stands for special edition.
The Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus offers an all-metal unibody design crafted from a single piece of high-grade aluminum making it beautiful & stronger and are backed by a 3000 mAh battery that can last for a entire day. it also features TurboPower charging which gives up to 5 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes.
Moto G5S Specification
the Moto G5S bears a 5.2-inch Full HD Display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by an 1.4 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. The device comes with 32GB of in-built storage which is further expandable up-to 128GB via MicroSD card support.
The Moto G5S sports a 16-megapixel primary rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF). This rapid focus technology make sure that you don’t miss the perfect picture. it also sport a 5-megapixel front facing selfie camera with wide-angle lens and LED flash.
Moto G5S Plus Specification
The Moto G5S Plus bears a 5.5-inch Full HD Display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and will be available in two variants differ by RAM & Storage – one with a 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage option and another with 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage variant. both, the variants supports storage expansion up-to 128GB via MicroSD card.
The Moto G5S Plus comes with a Rear dual camera setup at the back, with a combination of two 13-megapixel sensors with special photo enhancement software, makes it easy to do more with your photos. Selective focus mode makes it easy to take professional looking portraits on your phone, adding a beautiful blurred background effect. Or, have fun trying selective black and white coloring or replace background mode which give your photos a whole new look. on the front, there’s an 8-megapixel front facing selfie camera with wide-angle lens, LED flash support and a new panoramic mode.
Both, The Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus runs on Android 7.1 Nougat update out-of-the box along with the latest Moto Experiences like Night Display and Quick Reply. it also sports a Fingerprint sensor embedded on the oval-shaped home button mounted on the front.
On the connectivity front, both the devices includes options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, MicroUSB, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. the Moto G5S will available with Dual-SIM setup in selected markets. on the other hand, the Moto G5S Plus will be available only with Single-SIM setup.
Availability and Pricing
Both, The Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus will be available starting this month in various countries globally and will be coming to the United States this fall. the Moto G5S is priced at 249 EUR (approx Rs. 18,670) and Moto G5S Plus is priced at 299 EUR (approx Rs. 22,400).
