OnePlus 5T, the latest offering from Shenzhen based Chinese smartphone manufacturer is scheduled to launch on November 16 but details related to device specification including ‘unboxing pictures’ are already leaked on the web.
The OnePlus 5T bears a 6.01-inch Full Optic AMOLED Display with an 18:9 aspect ration and is built with a screen-to-body ratio of 80.5 percent. the device comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection with support for DCI-p3 and sRGB colour format and sports a new Sunlight display built-in with a software algorithm which automatically adapts to harsh light to facilitate great viewing experience. the device sports thin bezels on all sides and hence, the fingerprint sensor is moved at the back of the device.
The OnePlus 5T just like its predecessor is powered by an 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU. the device is available in two variants differ by RAM and storage – the 6GB LPDDR4x RAM variant is packed with 64GB on-board storage, while the 8GB LPDDR4x RAM variant is packed with 128GB storage variant. the device runs on OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat update as suggested by previous leaks. the device is backed by a non-removable 3,300 mAh battery which is paired with the company’s in-house Dash Charge (Fast Charging) technology.
On the optics front, the device sports a rear dual camera setup which is a combination of 16-megapixel Sony IMX 398 primary sensor with 1.12 pixel size and F/1.7 aperture along with a 20-megapixel IMX 376K secondary sensor with 1.0 pixel size and F/1.7 aperture. the camera is packed with Dual LED flash and is capable of video recording 4K resolution videos at 30FPS, 1080p resolution videos at 60FPS, 720p resolution videos at 30FPS, Slow motion 720p videos at 120FPS, and Time-Lapse. on the front, there’s 16-megapixel IMX 371 sensor with 1.0 pixel size and F/2.0 aperture. the front camera is also capable of capturing 1080p resolution videos at 60FPS, 720p resolution videos at 30FPS and Time-Lapse.
The OnePlus 5T comes with Bottom facing speaker and is packed by 3 microphones with noise cancellation and supports AANC and Dirac HD Sound.
On the connectivity front, the option includes Dual Nano-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, USB 2.0 with Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. it is also on-board sensors including Hall sensor, Accelerometer, G-sensor, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor. the device measures at 156.1 x 75 x 7.3 mm and weights at 162 grams.
