Xiaomi today has officially launched the Humongous “Mi Max” phablet with a 6.44-inch display in India. the Dual SIM Mi Max comes with 4G LTE support on both the SIM cards. it is equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the back and an IR blaster on the top for the device to act as a quick remote. It runs on Android Marshmallow update with MIUI 8 overlaid on it.
The Mi Max sports a huge 6.44-inch Full HD display with a 2.5D glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. the phablet smartphone features a metal unibody design. it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor octa-core 64-bit chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. there’s another variant which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. both variants come with support for storage expansion via MicroSD card.
For the camera lovers, the Mi Max features a 16MP rear camera with face detection autofocus and dual tone LED flash. there’s also a 8MP front facing camera with 85 degree wide angle lens for the selfie lovers.
The Xiaomi Mi Max is powered with a 4850 mAh battery which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge technology for faster charging of the large battery. This battery is said to offer continuous video playback for about 14 hours on a single charge.
On the connectivity front, it includes options like 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, MicroUSB, and Wi-Fi.
The Xiaomi Mi Max is priced at Rs. 14999 for the 3GB of RAM and Snapdragon 650 variant whereas the other variant with 4GB of RAM and Snapdragon 652 is priced at Rs. 19999. it will be available through an open sale starting from 13 July from online stores like Amazon, Snapdeal, PayTM, Flipkart and Mi.com
