We all know Windows Phone is officially dead as it was confirmed none other than our very own Joe Belfiore in a series of tweets were he revealed that the Redmond giant is no longer developing features or hardware for the Windows 10 mobile but will continue to support the platform with regular bug fixes and security updates.
Of course we’ll continue to support the platform.. bug fixes, security updates, etc. But building new features/hw aren’t the focus. 😟 https://t.co/0CH9TZdIFu

The company never officially admitted it before but few of us already knew what was the fate of Windows 10 Mobile. as when the Windows 10 Fall Creators update was in development, Windows 10 Mobile was redirected to isolated placed called feature 2 branch or maintenance mode in plain and simple language.
There’s a famous quote from Henry Rollins which is, “I am on until I am dead, like a light bulb.” it perfectly fits the bill for the Windows 10 Mobile. Yes, its loud and clear that Microsoft has officially abandoned Windows 10 Mobile but doesn’t stopped smaller OEMs (smartphone manufacturers) like Wileyfox from announcing “Wileyfox Pro”a new Windows Mobile which is targeted towards the Business or enterprise.
Here are the highlight features of Wileyfox Pro
- Windows 10 and all Microsoft Services ready to go
- Supported to mid-2020
The Wileyfox Pro comes with Office apps built-in for maximum productivity on the go while OneDrive cloud storage gives you access to your files whenever and wherever you need. the device bears a 5-inch (720p) HD display and bears quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. the device comes with 16GB of on-board storage. on the optics front the device sports a 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera.
Microsoft has pledged to support Wileyfox Pro and Windows 10 across enterprises for a minimum period of 18 months from the launch date. hence, the device is eligible for support until October 2020.
The Wileyfox Pro was first unveiled at IFA 2017, however, it wasn’t clear when the device would go on sale but thankfully, it finally happened and now Windows Phone Fans have something to cheer for.
the Wileyfox Pro is already available for pre-order and is priced at £189.99 in the United Kingdom ahead of its release date on December 4.
