We last reported you that WhatsApp is bringing the “Old Status” back as “Tagline” and were already testing the feature in their internal beta builds. Well, the developers have tested the feature for more than a week now and have pushed the update today on Play Store app and Windows Store. the update is available for the Beta version of the app. the “Old Status” feature is re-introduced as “About” for Android devices and “Info” for Windows Phones. hopefully, in the coming days the developers will finalize either one of the following name and will push another update.

Earlier this week, Jan Koum – CEO and co-founder of WhatsApp officially announced the new improved Status Feature which is inspired from the Snapchat. the new Status feature allow user to share Status as Image or Video just like Instagram Stories which disappears after 24 hrs, with the option to share it with everyone or selected contacts. the Status now features in a separate tab where you can also view your friends status, besides that there’s also an indicator when there are new Status.The new revamped Status is awesome and certainly a nice addition but still there’s a group of user who are quite miffed with WhatsApp move to Revamp the Status Feature. Well, WhatsApp developers has gathered all the feedback from its user and are already in works to bring the Old Status soon.Obviously, the first questions comes in mind now is that will happen to Revamped Status when the Old Status will be back. now look at the screenshot posted below.
So, Yes WhatsApp is renaming the Old Status as — “Tagline” and it will be separate feature alongwith the new improved “Revamped Status”. it will also feature separate its own “Privacy Settings” The Screenshots are posted by WABetainfo who keeps an tab on the beta releases of WhatsApp. the feature is already present in the beta builds of WhatsApp’s Android, iOS and Windows Phone apps and will be available soon.
