Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company is taking giant strides atleast in the India market, which is touted as one of the fastest growing market. the company’s last year year budget offering Redmi Note 4 break many records including becoming the fastest smartphone to sell over 1 Million in India.
According to a report from CyberMedia Research, the Indian market is estimated to ship with more than 270 million mobile phones in 2017, out of which 130 million (48%) are forecast to be smartphones.
The company is yet again in the news and is expected to announced the successor of its most popular device, the Redmi Note 4 which is making loud noise even before it release.
The Redmi Note 5 is been in leaks a couple of times and is lauded among the tech enthusiastic people’s for its impressive design and specification. the recent leaks making the round is coming straight from TENAA, the Chinese mobile certification site which reveals the device listed with codenames as MET7 and MEE7 making claims stronger that the device is imminent to launch.
According to the TENAA listing, the Redmi Note 5 bears a 5.99-inch Full-HD Display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and 2.5D curved glass. the device is expected to powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor which was announced recently and bring support for mid-ranger devices to go full-scale on bezel-less displays with Full-HD resolution. the device is expected to come in two variants with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and, 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage configuration and supports storage expansion up-to 128GB via MicroSD card.
On the optics front, the device sports a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing selfie shooter. the device sports a Fingerprint sensor on the rear just below the camera module.
The Redmi Note 5 is expected to run out-of-the box on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat update and is backed by a 4,000 mAh Battery. the device measures at 158.5 x 75.4 x 8 mm and weights at 180 grams.
